Glacier-Yellowstone 2015
June 29, 2015 - We arrived in Waterton Lakes National Park and set up our camp for the night. Decided to scope out the area for potential pictures when the winds picked up and this storm front appeared over the mountains. I found this dead tree at waters edge and set up to capture this oncoming storm. I watched and waited for the right moment and was rewarded for my efforts. July 4, 2015 - This image required an early morning arrival to capture the sun's first light illuminate the cascading falls and surrounding vegetation and glacier fed lake. The cloud activity added contrast to the background and cast shadows providing different shades to the vegetation and rock formations. I had to time the shot with the sun playing hide and seek with the clouds. The end result is this amazing composition. Available Sizes: 60" x 40"; 48" x 32"; 36" x 24"; 24" x 16" LE - 75
June 30, 2015 - Arrived at the Goat Haute in Glacier National Park on the South end of Waterton Lake. It was a beaatiful late afternoon and the cloud activity was exceptional; the conditions were begging to be captured for eternity. Walked around until I found the ideal location to photograph this amazing scene looking North into Canada; mountains carved by glaciers rising above a deep freshwater lake. Available Sizes: 30" x 60"; 24" x 48"; 18" x 36"; 12" x 24" Limited Ed - 75
July 1, 2015 - I love capturing mountain reflections in crystal clear lakes, even more so when nature creates perfect conditions that occurred this morning. Got up early, but had to wait until the morning sun cleared the mountains behind me and began casting its light on Citadel Peaks (left) and Olson Mountain (right). Ths clouds and winds (none) cooperated until the morning light reached the low tree line. Available Sizes: 40" x 60"; 32" x 48"; 24" x 36"; 16" x 24" Limited Edition - 75
July 3, 2015 - Lake Francis in Glacier National park is absolutely stunning! The lake is feed from the melting Dixon Glacier and the water has a beautiful turquoise color when illuminated by sunlight. With views of the 8,000 foot plus peaks of Porcupine Ridge in the foreground and Citagel Peaks in the distance, it is a great place to relax, go for a swim, and if the conditions are right, capture a great picture! July 10, 2015 - A massive dormant terrace at Mammoth Hot Springs Yellowstone National Park is set against a cloudy early morning sky. The more I viewed the scene I knew I had to capture it. I waited patiently for the sun to break free and cast it's light on this massive dome, and captured exactly as what I wanted.
